Injury News

- Ty Wigginton has a fractured left thumb but he will try to play with it for now. If he struggles he will be placed on the DL.

- Chuck James will come off the DL tomorrow and will start at the Rockies.

- White Sox GM Kenny Williams said it will be a while before OF Jerry Owens is activated off the DL. They want to get him into some rehab games within the next week.

- Jeremy Hermida's strained left hamstring has healed and he has been activated off of the DL and will start either April 9 or 10 against the Nationals.

-Roy Oswalts says his bicep is fine and he will pitch April 11 vs. the Marlins.

-Kaz Matsui will begin his rehab assignment today.

-Derek Jeter will miss at least three games with a strained left quad.

-Adam Laroche is will likely return at home against the Cubs tomorrow.

-Michael Barrett has gone on the 15 day DL with a strained right elbow.

-B.J. Ryan pitched one inning and threw 12 pitches, 7 for strikes, and struck out one hitter in a class A rehab game. He may return for the April 11-13 series against the Rangers. Jeremy Accardo will most likely close games until Ryan game prove he's ready for the role.

-Wily Mo Pena will start his rehab assignments next week.
