Injury Update 4/21

-Chipper Jones is in the lineup for tonight's game after suffering a quad injury.

-Kosuke Fukudome is expected to start tonight for the Cubs against at home against the Mets.

-Dontrelle Willis threw off a mound today and felt no pain in his knee. He should be ready to go within a week.

-Mark Mulder threw 6 innings of scoreless ball in his second rehab start but will need 2-3 more before returning to the Cardinals.

-Scott Rolen could return to the Blue Jays lineup as soon as Wednesday coming off a broken finger.

-Mike Lowell should begin a 3 game rehab assignment starting next week trying to recover from a spained thumb.

-Mike Hampton threw 50 pitches in a bullpen session and he is said to be about 2 weeks away from returning.

-Curtis Granderson will start his rehab assignment today and could return to the Tigers by the end of the week.

-Ty Wigginton's sprained thumb will need a little more time to heal while he is eligible to come off of the DL today.

-Kevin Slowey is on his rehab assignment and could return in a week coming off of a bicep injury.

-John Lackey will make his first rehab start in Class A on Thursday which could make his return late next week.

-Matt Garza may start later this week against the Red Sox returning from elbow soreness.

-Rich Harden thew long toss yesterday as he tries to come back from back and shoulder muscle problems.

-Scott Kazmir will make a Class A rehab start on Wednesday and could return next week against the Red Sox.
