No Signs of "Ring Rust"

White Sox 3B Joe Crede has shown no signs of rust whatsoever to start the season. After having a disappointing Spring at the plate Crede has given the Sox offense a charge in the first few games. Many people questioned whether he could handle the starting job coming off of back surgery. Crede has shown so far that he's back with a vengeance. His return to the Sox left no room for future 3B Josh Fields as he was demoted back to the minors and the team hasn't missed him a bit. As of now, Crede is hitting .392 with 11 hits in 28 AB. He's belted a couple of HR including a grand slam to beat the Twins on Monday which boosted his RBI total to 10. Crede has been talked about in trades since the owner's meetings but it hasn't happened and it might not happen at all. Crede's super-agent Scott Boras hinted today that Crede and the Sox may soon agree to terms that would keep him in Chicago for a few more years. He's always been good with the glove and how he hasn't won a Gold Glove yet mystifies me. Now that we know he can still hit he should be owned in all leagues and start him while he's hot. I still believe that he will hit 20+ HR this season and get close to 100 RBI. It's nice having him back in the fantasy baseball world.
